1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using VEXgate — including the cross-chain swap router, token selection interface, and quote engine — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. VEXgate is operated by CryptoCurrencyShops LLC, a US limited liability company.
2. Platform Description
VEXgate is a non-custodial cross-chain swap routing interface that connects users to decentralized exchanges and bridges on the XPR Network blockchain. VEXgate does not operate its own liquidity pools or smart contracts — it routes transactions through third-party protocols including SimpleDEX, Metal X AMM (proton.swaps), and the Metal X DEX order book. VEXgate does not hold, custody, or control user funds at any point. All transactions are executed directly on-chain by the user through their WebAuth wallet.
3. Swap Routing
VEXgate automatically finds the best route for your swap across multiple decentralized exchanges and liquidity sources. Routes may involve multiple hops through intermediate tokens (e.g., XPR, XMD, XUSDC). Multi-hop swaps incur cumulative fees and slippage at each step. The quoted output is an estimate — actual execution may vary due to price movement between quote and execution. VEXgate displays the route, estimated output, price impact, and fees before you confirm any transaction.
4. Cross-Chain Bridge Risks
Swaps involving external blockchains (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, etc.) require bridging through the Metal X Bridge. Bridging involves wrapping your native tokens into XPR Network equivalents (e.g., BTC becomes XBTC). Bridge transactions carry additional risks including: delayed settlement, bridge downtime or failures, smart contract vulnerabilities in the bridge contracts, and potential loss of funds during the bridging process. Bridge times vary by chain (1-30 minutes). VEXgate does not operate or control the Metal X Bridge.
5. DEX and Swap Risks
Using decentralized exchanges involves significant risks, including but not limited to:
Slippage: The price you receive may differ from the quoted price, especially for large trades relative to pool reserves or order book depth.
Price impact: Large swaps relative to available liquidity will move the price against you. VEXgate displays estimated price impact before confirmation.
Smart contract risk: The underlying DEX contracts (SimpleDEX, proton.swaps, Metal X DEX) may contain bugs or vulnerabilities that could result in partial or total loss of funds.
Multi-hop risk: Routed swaps through multiple pools accumulate fees and slippage at each hop. A 3-hop swap incurs approximately 3x the fees of a direct swap.
Low liquidity: Some token pairs may have very limited liquidity, resulting in high slippage or inability to execute the swap.
Pool manipulation: Low-liquidity pools are susceptible to price manipulation by third parties.
No guaranteed execution: Transactions may fail due to slippage exceeding tolerance, insufficient liquidity, or network issues. Failed transactions do not result in loss of funds on XPR Network (gas-free).
6. Token Risks
VEXgate lists tokens from SimpleDEX and Metal X. Anyone can create a token on SimpleDEX. VEXgate does not endorse, audit, verify, or guarantee any token listed on the platform. Tokens may have no value, may be created fraudulently, or may lose all value at any time. Always do your own research (DYOR) before swapping into any token.
7. No Custody
VEXgate is a non-custodial interface. We never have access to your private keys, seed phrases, or wallet credentials. All transaction signing is performed client-side through the WebAuth SDK. If you lose access to your wallet, VEXgate cannot recover your funds.
8. No Financial Advice
Nothing on this platform constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. All information including prices, quotes, routes, and token data is provided for informational purposes only. You are solely responsible for evaluating any token, pool, or trade. VEXgate is not registered with any financial authority in any jurisdiction.
9. Regulatory Status
CryptoCurrencyShops LLC is a US limited liability company. VEXgate is not a registered Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP), money transmitter, or securities broker-dealer in any jurisdiction. Users are solely responsible for determining whether their use of the platform complies with applicable laws and regulations in their jurisdiction.
10. Limitation of Liability
VEXgate and all associated services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CryptoCurrencyShops LLC and their operators, contributors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform, including but not limited to total loss of deposited tokens, loss of profits, bridge failures, smart contract exploits, or data loss.
The operator accepts no liability for losses resulting from: smart contract exploits or hacks in third-party protocols; bridge failures or delays; price manipulation; front-running or sandwich attacks; phishing attacks; network outages; oracle manipulation; or any other security incident. You acknowledge that interacting with decentralized protocols carries inherent risk and that you bear sole responsibility for all losses.
11. Beta Software Disclaimer
VEXgate is provided as beta software under active development. The platform may contain bugs, errors, or defects that could result in unexpected behavior including but not limited to: incorrect transaction amounts, failed swaps, unintended token transfers, or loss of funds. CryptoCurrencyShops LLC is not liable for any losses arising from software bugs, code defects, or unexpected platform behavior. By using VEXgate, you acknowledge that you are using beta software at your own risk and accept full responsibility for any losses that may occur.
Multi-hop swaps that route through multiple decentralized exchanges require multiple wallet approvals. Users are responsible for verifying the amounts shown in each wallet approval before signing. If an amount appears incorrect, users should reject the transaction.
12. Prohibited Use
You agree not to use VEXgate to: engage in any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations; manipulate markets including wash trading, spoofing, or front-running; launder money or finance illegal activities; exploit vulnerabilities in the smart contracts, routing engine, or frontend; or attempt to disrupt the platform's operation.
13. Intellectual Property
The VEXgate name, logo, branding, and frontend code are owned by CryptoCurrencyShops LLC. The $VEX token and Vexar mascot are community assets of the XPR Network ecosystem.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms shall be resolved in accordance with applicable US law.
15. Changes to Terms
These Terms may be updated at any time. When Terms are updated, all users will be required to review and accept the new Terms before continuing to use the platform.
